MAN TGM 13.290 4×4 Expedition Truck with EURO-4 engine for a 3+ person crew. This Expedition Truck is based on a New MAN 4×4 chassis from 2009 with a 2007 manufactured Ormocar conversion. The truck is in ownership of the third owner and registered in Switzerland as a Motorhome.

The Ormocar living unit has a professionally built Interior connected to the MAN TGM chassis through a spring suspended Torsion Sub-Frame. The rear of the truck chassis has a double Tire rack and a removable motorcycle platform with electric winch.

Living Unit & Drivers Cab

Drivers cab and Living unit are connected through a Crawl-Through hatch. The drivers cab has 3 registered seats with the middle Console seat removed and replaced with a Dometic/MAN Fridge. The Drivers cab is Air-Conditioned, has a MAN BrakeMatic Cruise Control for controlled descents, 2 Air-suspended & Heated seats in an extra Sound insulated Driver`s cab.

The interior is designed for a 4 person Crew with 2 Double beds – one large Fixed Bed of 160 cm wide and one Convertible Bed of 115 cm wide. Both beds are 200 cm long corresponding with the interior height of 200 cm.

Smart Features

This truck has 3 smart solutions in the Living Unit for Heating and Cooling. First is an Air-Conditioning Unit connected to the Truck / Drivers Cab. Through this AC vent the Living is kept cool during the journey with the Air-Conditioning of the drivers cab. A 2^nd AC unit powered by the 440 Ah Battery Bank can continue to cool the Living Unit while parked. A generator is available in the Garage to support the electrical system if needed for more cooling power.

Hot water comes from a 40 liter Electric Boiler through a large 440Ah –24 Volts battery bank. This boiler supplies warm water in the bathroom. A second 15 liter Electric Boiler provides hot water for the Kitchen. The bathroom has a 220 liter fresh water supply, the kitchen a separate 200 liter water supply.

The 150 liter (Grey) waste water tank is heated through the Exhaust of the Eberspächer Diesel Heater in the Living Unit. This ensures the waste water tank doesn’t freeze in subzero conditions.

This Expedition Truck has driven 100.000 Km in Europe and the North of Africa with the first and second owners and is now planned to be used for an around the world trip by its current owner.
